EHDEN – European Health Data & Evidence Network

  • Casa di Cura Igea becomes a hub of the European digital network of health data and evidence – (EHDEN – European Health Data & Evidence Network)
  • European Health Data and Evidence Network joins new OHDSI Italia community

Casa di Cura Igea has become part of the EHDEN project – European Health Data & Evidence Network (www.ehden.eu), a European consortium involving approximately 140 partners operating in the digital healthcare innovation chain.
EHDEN's mission is to provide a new paradigm for health data discovery and analysis in Europe by building a federated network of data from partners across Europe, especially useful for clinical research.
Academic research groups, data partners (e.g. hospitals and registries) and SMEs, thanks to the push provided by the EHDEN project, are paying more and more attention to the different aspects that characterize the creation of digital data HUDs.
The specific aspects that will be addressed within the project concern in particular the Sciences related to the observation of Health Data of the OHDSI programme (www.ohdsi-europe.org) and the Common Data Model (CDM) in support of the Partnership on Observational Medicine Outcomes (OMOP).
Finally, we would like to point out the birth of the new community “OHDSI Italia” (www.ohdsi-europe.org/index.php/national-
nodes/italy), which aims to be a point of reference and meeting for all these Italian realities, in order to
to enhance each other's experiences of approaching the international community as well as to address
typically national problems.
