Acute Hospitalizations – Via Marcona Office

Day hospital

The IGEA Nursing Home offers its patients a Day Hospital service.

Chemotherapy or supportive treatments are performed as needed to better manage the neoplastic disease.

During the Day Hospital the patient remains in the facility only for the time necessary for tests, examinations or therapies.

In the MAC (Complex Macro Ambulatory Activity) clinic, chemotherapy treatments, supportive therapies, and simple invasive procedures such as paracentesis and osteomedullary biopsies are performed.

The service is provided five days a week, with blood tests and instrumental tests performed on the same day, as well as a medical examination and appropriate therapies. At the end of treatment, the patient returns home with instructions for any further home care and measures needed.

The facility offers spacious and functional spaces for visits, exams, treatments, and secretarial and booking services. Equipped with the most modern medical and hospitality facilities, it allows patients to receive the necessary care with peace of mind. All treatments are prepared and administered according to the latest and most stringent safety standards required for the sector.

The medical and nursing staff, with extensive experience in oncology, includes personnel specialized in the indication, preparation, administration, and monitoring of oncology treatments according to the most modern national and international criteria and guidelines.

Attention to the person and their needs in a particularly difficult moment of life remains at the center of the concerns of all the staff, who also have a psycho-oncology service for employees, patients and family members who may need it.
