Acute Hospitalizations – Via Marcona Office
Semi-Intensive Therapy
Radiological examinations with contrast media are performed in total safety thanks to the support of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation service of the Casa di Cura Igea even in those patients who present a high allergic risk.
SIAARTI (Italian Society of Anesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Semi-Intensive Care)
The task of anesthetists begins a few days before the operation with a visit to the clinic to prepare the patient both psychologically and for any further tests. The main purpose of the preoperative interview is to obtain informed consent on the methods of anesthesia.
A file is then prepared with the patient's essential data, the results of the blood and instrumental tests, the result of the clinical evaluation carried out by the anesthetist, the evaluation of the anesthesiological risk, the informed consent to anesthesia and any blood component transfusion, the essential therapeutic indications before the operation and the pre-anesthesia, generally represented by an anxiolytic. The actual anesthesiological assistance is instead carried out at the time of the operation, during which the anesthetist in charge is able to deal with any negative event, thus representing the cornerstone of the safety and success of the operation for the subsequent post-operative intensive care.
In the hours following the operation, an anesthetist is always available to help resolve any problems that may arise during the post-operative period; the anesthesiology team at the Casa di Cura Igea follows patients in critical conditions or those undergoing particularly significant operations in the post-operative intensive care unit equipped with 4 beds, monitors, automatic respirators and specialized nurses.
