Patient admission
The Igea Nursing Home is a modern clinic including the highly complex Department of Neurorehabilitation Sciences, it welcomes users in particularly well-maintained environmental, structural and comfort conditions. Hospitalization, both in Ordinary Hospitalization and in Day Hospital, is scheduled at the Hospitalization Acceptance Service, by presenting the specific "hospitalization request" formulated by the Specialist Doctor of the health facility from which the Patient comes or directly by the General Practitioner; within 24 hours this request is evaluated by a Level II Medical Director who, in accordance with the diagnostic-therapeutic-rehabilitation protocols and taking into account the indications provided by the regional resolutions, defines the appropriateness.
The outcome of the request is subsequently communicated by the Admissions Service to the Operating Unit of origin or directly to the patient.
Inside Casa di cura Igea there is a Social Worker who, upon explicit request of the specialist doctor, takes care of finding the patient who is being discharged and not yet self-sufficient suitable accommodation in a social health facility.
The temporary stay in this facility will allow the discharged person to complete the Rehabilitation Plan for returning home.
