Cardiac, Pulmonary and Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Cardiac, pulmonary and orthopedic rehabilitation is a set of personalized therapeutic interventions aimed at patients with functional impairments affecting the cardiovascular, respiratory or musculoskeletal systems.

The goal is to promote the recovery of autonomy, improve the quality of life and reduce the risk of complications or relapses. The rehabilitation programs include a multidisciplinary approach and are adapted to the specific clinical needs of each patient.

Rehabilitation activities and treatments

The Rehabilitation Department of Casa di Cura Igea in Milan, in line with the National and Regional Guidelines on rehabilitation, proposes intensive multidisciplinary rehabilitation pathways for the functional recovery and reintegration into daily life of patients.

The rehabilitation programs are personalized and based on an accurate initial diagnostic evaluation, which allows us to define the patient's specific needs and build an individual therapeutic path, according to validated methodologies and focused on the recovery of residual abilities.

Integrated multidisciplinary approach

Intensive rehabilitation is carried out by a multidisciplinary team composed of medical specialists such as cardiologists, pulmonologists, physiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, nursing and care staff. When necessary, the social service is also involved, working closely with the patient and his family to support social and home reintegration.

Each rehabilitation treatment is defined on the basis of clinical and instrumental frameworks, to ensure targeted and effective interventions. The length of hospitalization is established based on the clinical conditions and recovery potential.
