The CdC Igea analysis laboratory is accredited with the SSN and certified for quality according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard
Withdrawals are performed at:
- CdC Igea Outpatient Clinic Via Piolti de' Bianchi 3, Monday to Saturday from 7.30 to 10.00
- CdC Igea Outpatient Clinic Via G. Dezza, 48 Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 9.30;
- Polyclinic the “Medical Center” Via Martiri of Kefalonia 5/19 of Opera, at the COOP Shopping Centre, Monday to Saturday from 7.00 to 9.30.
The Laboratory is equipped with advanced diagnostic and IT technology, which allows for high-quality analyses to be carried out quickly and is directed by a specialist biologist.
All the operating staff, consisting of biologists and specialized technicians, contribute to providing an active contribution to the prevention and diagnosis of diseases.
The Igea Nursing Home Laboratory carries out analyses in various specialist branches:
- Clinical biochemistry;
- Hematology and coagulation;
- Microbiology and virology
The services provided are related to the following specialties:
- Pathological Anatomy and Cytology
- Clinical Biochemistry
- Hematology and Blood Coagulation
- Immunometry (hormones, tumor markers, serology)
- Microbiology and Virology – Molecular Biology
- Occupational Toxicology
- Genetics, Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics
- Covid-19 infection investigations (molecular, antigen, serological test)
Analytical quality is ensured by adherence to numerous regional, national and international Quality Control programs.
For specialist investigations not performed on-site, the laboratory uses agreements with qualified, accredited and quality-certified laboratories that perform the tests under a service regime.
For genetic investigations, a Genetic Specialist is available for consultation
Laboratory tests are provided for both inpatients and users.
Access to services under the agreement can be done directly by showing the referral issued by the family doctor or specialist. Services are also performed in cash and/or under agreement with private insurance. Users access the laboratory through the clinic.
The analysis laboratory provides the results, within the terms established by current legislation and the staff is always available to satisfy particular needs of the patients.
The digitally signed laboratory reports are also accessible through regional IT services to patients who have given consent to the Electronic Health Record (FSE).
All reports are archived on computer media.
