Research Area Staff

Data Scientist – We are looking for a Data Scientist, preferably with research experience in the healthcare sector.

Role Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with a strong interest in applying these skills in the medical and neuroscience fields.

Responsibility:
• ⁠Analyze and interpret neuroscientific and clinical data sets collected from our internal studies, knowing the standard HL7 protocols
• ⁠Know clinical ontologies (mesh, etc.)
• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to support research and clinical practice
• Collaborate with neuroscientists, clinicians and researchers to extract meaningful insights from data
• Implement efficient and scalable data analytics pipelines
• Participate in the publication of scientific studies and presentations at conferences

Requirements:
• ⁠Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computational Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
• ⁠Experience in analyzing EEG, fMRI, or other neuroscience data
• ⁠Advanced knowledge of Python, R and machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.)
• Experience in using databases and tools for managing big data (OMOP, SQL, Hadoop, Spark)
• Familiarity with statistical methods for the analysis of clinical data
• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for working in interdisciplinary teams
• Experience with data masking tools (1)

Plus:
• GenAI tool integration capabilities (2)
• Experience with medical image analysis and deep learning techniques applied to diagnostics and computer vision tools
• Knowledge of health data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)
• Experience in academic or industrial research environments

(1) Anonymization and pseudonymization which is a mandatory step for research
(2) now a task is no longer trained from scratch but what has already been done by other artificial intelligences is exploited so as not to start from scratch. Therefore, the data scientist must be able to integrate LLMs into their tools to do this work
